Spider Vein Treatments

Spider veins (officially called telengectasias) on the face and legs often can benefit from laser therapy, which doesn't involve any needles or incisions. Laser treatment is best for small (uncooked spaghetti-size or smaller), superficial red or red-blue veins, especially those not clustered together.

When the laser hits the skin, the patient feels only a small pinch and the skin is soothed by cooling before and after the laser is applied. At The Laser Center at Contour Dermatology, we have several different types of lasers we can use on spider veins, depending on a patient's individual needs, but the most effective laser for treating vascular lesions is the Vbeam®.
