While ordinary microdermabrasion will temporarily reduce fine lines and wrinkles, until now there hasn't been any "lunchtime" skin treatment (a treatment not requiring down time) that gives the kind of long-lasting effects most patients desire.

All that is changing with a new technology called Vibradermabrasion. We've recently acquired this new exfoliating system, and we're very excited about what we see. Vibradermabrasion works differently from ordinary dermabrasion. While it does remove dead cells at the surface of the skin like dermabrasion, it has another dimension that allows it to simultaneously stimulate collagen and fibroblast growth at deeper layers.

Less painful than traditional exfoliating treatments, Vibradermabrasion also causes less tenderness, redness and irritation. Best of all, it works quickly. Vibradermabrasion of the face, neck and upper chest can be performed in approximately 10 minutes!

Because of its efficiency, Vibraderm has now made full-body exfoliation — which was too time-consuming using older methods — a reality.

The Vibraderm system includes "paddles" that our aesthetician will use to massage your skin. The paddles are connected to an oscillating device that sends vibrations deep into the underlying layers of the dermis, stimulating new collagen and fibroblast growth. (Each patient purchases her own paddles, which will only be used on her skin, thus eliminating the problem of cross contamination.) The massage feels wonderful, and adds to the toning effect of the treatment.

Objective clinical assessment of 35 mm slides show Vibradermabrasion improving fine lines at nearly double that of older devices.
